WordPress + WooCommerce Integration

Our WordPress plugin connects your WooCommerce store directly to Zagel AI. Once installed, your products and orders are automatically synced, and the AI chat widget is embedded on your site — giving your customers instant access to intelligent product recommendations and support.

Installation Guide

STEP 1

Download the Plugin

Download the Zagel AI WordPress plugin from your Zagel dashboard or our website.

The plugin is a standard .zip file compatible with WordPress 6.0 and above.

STEP 2

Upload to WordPress

In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. Select the downloaded .zip file and click "Install Now".

Alternatively, you can extract the plugin to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory via FTP.

STEP 3

Activate the Plugin

After installation, click "Activate Plugin" to enable Zagel AI on your WordPress site.

You'll see a new "Zagel AI" menu item in your WordPress sidebar.

STEP 4

Open Zagel AI Settings

Click on "Zagel AI" in the WordPress sidebar to open the plugin settings page.

This is where you'll connect your WordPress site to your Zagel AI account.

STEP 5

Enter Your API Key

Copy your API key from Zagel Dashboard > API Keys and paste it into the plugin settings.

Make sure to use an API key with "products" and "chat" scopes enabled.

STEP 6

Click "Connect"

Hit the "Connect" button. Your WooCommerce products will start syncing automatically.

The initial sync may take a few minutes depending on the size of your catalog.

Troubleshooting

Plugin activation fails

Ensure you're running WordPress 6.0+ and PHP 8.0+. Check that WooCommerce is installed and active.

API key connection error

Verify your API key is correct and has the required scopes (products, chat). Check that your server can make outbound HTTPS requests.

Products not syncing

Go to Zagel AI > Settings in WordPress and click "Force Sync". Check WordPress error logs for any API-related errors.

Chat widget not appearing

Ensure the "Enable Chat Widget" toggle is turned on in the plugin settings. Check for JavaScript conflicts with other plugins by testing with default theme.

Slow sync performance

For stores with 1000+ products, the initial sync may take several minutes. Subsequent syncs are incremental and much faster.
